Who we are
Thank you for visiting — the images in this collection are fragments of light, place, and time that drew our attention. We hope they spark your own remembered feelings or scenes and provide space for reflection, discovery, and enjoyment.
This is a small, non-commercial photography site created by John and David Collett for everyone to enjoy. It exists simply to share our photographs.
Privacy (TL;DR): We don’t track you, collect personal data, or share anything about your visit with anyone.
Copyright (TL;DR): All photos and text are ours; please don’t reuse, copy, or repost them without permission.
If you’d like the full details, they’re just below — or feel free to jump back to the Gallery and keep exploring.
If you have questions about anything on this page, you can reach us through the contact page.
Privacy
What information we collect
We collect information only in two ways:
Contact form submissions
When you use the contact form, we receive:
- Your name (if you provide it)
- Your email address
- The subject and message you write
We use this information only to read and reply to your message.
Basic technical logs
Our hosting and DNS providers (Netlify and Cloudflare) automatically collect limited technical information when you visit the site, such as:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device and operating system
- Pages visited and basic request details
These logs are used to keep the site running, diagnose problems, and protect against abuse (for example, blocking malicious traffic).
We do not run advertising, behavioral tracking, or user analytics scripts.
How we use your information
We use your information only to:
- Read and reply to messages sent through the contact form
- Maintain and secure the website (via Netlify and Cloudflare’s standard infrastructure)
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.
We may keep copies of messages you send us (for example, in our email accounts) so we can remember our conversations. If you would like a past message removed from our records, you can email us and we will do our best to honor the request where reasonably possible.
Who has access to your information
In addition to us (John and David), the following service providers may process your data as part of providing their services:
- Netlify – website hosting and contact form handling
- Cloudflare – DNS, security, and content delivery (CDN)
These providers have their own privacy policies which describe how they handle data on their systems.
We do not grant any third party permission to use your information for advertising or profiling through this site.
Cookies
We do not deliberately set our own tracking cookies.
However, Netlify and Cloudflare may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies to keep the site fast and secure (for example, to route traffic efficiently or protect against attacks). These are standard technical cookies and are not used by us to profile visitors.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not offer accounts or purchases. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the contact form, please email us and we will remove it where possible.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site works (for example, by adding analytics or new features), we may update this page. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top.
If any change were to materially affect how your information is handled, we would aim to describe that clearly here.
